CRM Tip of the Day # 03 – Using Outlook & CRM for Outlook in two separate Windows

| March 28, 2012 | 0 Comments

When working with Outlook Mail folders and your CRM entities, it is sometimes a challenge moving back and forth between the CRM organisation and the various Mail folders and Calendars in Outlook. To avoid this, and to work with them in separate windows, you can open your CRM organisation in a new Window (similar to opening a new Window/Tab in Internet Explorer).

To do this, open Outlook and right-click on the CRM Organisation name (by default this is located under the Mail folder in the Outlook Navigation pane) and select ‘Open in New Window’:

This will open the CRM Organisation in a new window and you can move easily between the two:

I have 5+ years experience as a Dynamics NAV Consultant and currently my role is split between Dynamics NAV and Dynamics CRM. My role as a Dynamics NAV Consulant has me involved in all System and User Testing, End- and Key-User Training and Support, Project Implementations, Upgrades and Requirements gathering & Design (front-end). As a Dynamics CRM 2011 Specialist my duties range from Client Consulting (Analysis, Design, System Testing, User Training, Documentation) through Project Management, coordination of Implementations and managing our internal CRM Department. I strive to ensure our Customers have the correct solutions implemented and that each NAV and CRM User has the knowledge and ability to use the functionality we create for them.
